PERIYAR UNIVERSITY

   Established in 1997, Periyar University, Salem, Tamil Nadu, is named after the great social reformer Thanthai Periyar. The University is guided by the motto ‘Wisdom Maketh the World’. It caters to higher education through 4 faculties, 27 departments, 118 affiliated colleges, and multiple research centers. Periyar University has carved a niche in education and research, offering UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs in varied disciplines. With NAAC A++ accreditation, the University stands tall as a center for academic excellence and innovation.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

   The Periyar University Library, the academic nerve center of the University, was established in 1997. It houses a vast collection of more than 1,10,000 volumes, 250 journal subscriptions, and provides access to thousands of e-journals, databases, and e-books. The library has implemented advanced technologies like RFID and Koha to deliver both onsite and remote services. It also maintains a Digital Library with institutional repositories, e-resources, and a rich research support environment. The University Library complements academic pursuits by offering a serene reading environment, research assistance, and innovative library services to meet the needs of students, researchers, and faculty members.

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

   The Department of Management Studies is one of the vibrant Departments dedicated to providing excellent Management Education in the Southern region of the country. The Department offers a two-year, full-time MBA Programme under the CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) since its inception in 2005, and the MBA Programme was approved by AICTE in 2021. As a milestone, the Department introduced the two-year MBA (Export and Import Management) course in 2021. The MBA programmes blend industry-aligned training, placement support, and skill development to prepare students for diverse corporate and international market challenges.

RAJA RAMMOHUN ROY LIBRARY FOUNDATION (RRRLF)

   The Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF) is a central autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It is the nodal agency for supporting and promoting public library services and systems in the country. Fully funded by the Government of India, RRRLF plays a vital role in strengthening the public library movement and providing grants for library development.

   The International Conference on Transforming Libraries: Innovation and Management, Smart Technologies and Creative Knowledge of Society for the Future aims to bring together librarians, educators, researchers, IT professionals, and policymakers to deliberate on the evolving role of libraries in the knowledge society. Libraries are no longer mere repositories but have transformed into knowledge hubs fostering innovation, smart technologies, and collaborative knowledge creation. The conference seeks to explore how libraries can harness innovation and digital transformation to remain relevant, impactful, and sustainable in the 21st century.
